Percussionist, Songwriter, musician and producer, Renu, announces the release of her debut album Love from London this autumn.

The album took two years to record in different locations, including London, Paris, Warsaw and Toronto.

Love from London tells of an epic and cinematic journey through the city and the highs and lows of unrequited love. RENU chose to work with an array of upcoming and firmly established singers and musicians whose abilities reflected the emotion of the story being told in each song.

Renu started out her musical life as a percussionist, specialising in in tabla, latin percussion, cajon, punk drumming and soundscaping. She has worked with the likes of MIKA, State of Bengal, Fun-Da-Mental, Kevin Davy D'semble, Alabama 3 and Gauri Sharma Tripathi, Renu has worked with pretty much every genre there is!

Whilst enjoying accompanying other artists and working as a highly sought after session percussionist, she completed her first album where she wrote, composed, arranged and produced all music and words as a postcard from Renu: Love from London.

The sheer revellery of London party goers in 'London Revellers' to the summer solace of Prince Charles cinema in the west end. On to another party; this time full of camp and dandy vampires, in 'We love you'. With the search for love across to the U.S, to only find it was always here in London.

All songs on this Album mirror the diversity of how this artists pictures London, through the backdrop of spaghetti western, to the lonesome ballad, passing through an old folktale, to popping into the cinema and on the way catch your friend leaving a musical, passing the flamenco dancer late at night, from the past, present and future.
