Brunch’in & UK Garage with Heartless Crew (DJFonti)

A UK Garage Daytimer is heading to Birmingham with Heartless Crew (DJ Fonti)!

Immerse yourself in the world that put British clubbing back on the map as Brunch’in & UK Garage launches in February (27) with Fonti from Heartless Crew.

“Rewind Selecta” for one the biggest parties to hit Brum, get ready to two-step as Brunch’in and UK Garage bring you a run down of all our favourite old school garage anthems from Monsta Boy’s ‘Sorry’ and Genius Crew’s ‘Boom Selection’ to the unforgettable ‘Flowers’ from Sweet Female Attitude. Together with Bottomless Champagne Cocktails and street food from the UKs biggest traders, 80s retro arcade games, a gaming area where you can shot some Basketball hoops and loads more.

Brought to you by the Founder’s of Brunch’in and Hip Hop (Birmingham’s biggest Brunch Party), Multi Award Winning Shaanti (who has worked with The Southbank Centre, O2, Radio 1, Ministry of Sound Records, Club Fabric and The British Council) and street-food experimental organiser’s Taste & Liquor (Birmingham’s Big Fat Pizza Festival, Birmingham’s Mr Hyde’s National Burger Day and Women in Street Food Festival) present a daytimer that once ruled the clubs, pirate radio and pop charts of Great Britain.

After 24 years, the influence of the UK Garage is still very present. The forerunner to grime and the genre that brought us Craig David through his Artful Dodger collaboration, and DJs MikeRuff CutLloyd dominating the scene, UK Garage remains popular among nostalgia freaks and those who never really let it go. It has achieved both underground and commercial success and manages to keep going in mini-cycles of pop crossover and undeground credibility.

The monthly promises no gimmicks, no inflatable microphones or karaoke Brunch’in and UK Garage is a daytimer where the sound defiantly comes first!

Brunch’in & UK Garage launch party is set to kick off on February 27, then every month at midday, at Level Digbeth, a converted cash and carry, with tickets starting at £10. For more information and ticket details take a look here. www.shaanti.co.uk or www.tasteandliquor.com
